I have a Bionic Father and my home is made of sticks.

how cool is that?

my dad had a knee replacement yesterday. he was good yesterday - so mum said- off this planet on drugs but good. he'll no doubt be feeling a wee bit "hung over" today. the poor thing, never suffers hang overs (quw AFL grand final 2000, dads brother dying of cancer, the man got though a slab of crownies, almost a full slab of the sliver crownies and some whisky! then split his wrist open when moving a BBQ while drunk and *still* got up the next morning at 7:30 and was fine!) so it'll be interesting to see how he goes.

the next 6 weeks will be painful (so the doc's have said) so looks like i'll be spending a little more time at my folks place. because also my nanna (DJ's grate grand mother - one of two he has) will be there so it'll be nice to spend time with her - also as dad can't drive i'll be near by to drive him around if mum has other things she needs to do (and dispite having a 15 month old DJ - i can get myself and him ready before my mother can get HERSELF oganised - inc. me putting on make up!)

as for my house being made of sticks, im nesting like a mad chicken about to lay a dozen eggs! got DH to move the single bed we have into the comp room. i'm taking a brake from cleaning the floor in DJ's room (who the hell knew so much crap would be stored under a friggin' bed?!? and cat hair!) and i've washed 2 loads of clothes today. and i will use the dryer for the second lot - as it gets cold and damp from around 4pm here. but hopefully that'll change in the next week with DH putting up some Bifolds he had made up (well the fames) so that'll mean our little pergola will be noice and warm - as we have PVC blinds on the "garage" side of it (DH loves his old Holden and can see it from our kitchen with these blinds). there is also talk of putting in a small wood heater (we have a shit load of it from when we took a massive assed gum tree down and my inlaws have all the wood they'll need for the next bloody two years) so we may as well a) burn the wood and b) take the extra heater off my father in law as we all know he has far too meany heaters/air cons in his house (i'm supprised it hasn't taken off in summer!) tonight when DH gets home we're setting up the bassent in the computer room as well as (hopefully) moving the draws that are in the cupboard in DJ's room in as well. upside? the room will be "bundy ready" down side? it'll be a smaller shoe box room then it is normaly, but hey. its all good. the amusing side of things was DH was like "ohh i wont be able to use the computer during the day if the baby is sleeping" and i pointed out that during the day the babys bed would be in DJ's room - or our room depending on sleeps, and only at night would bundy and I be in the computer room. which made him happy as he's currently in the midst of putting 6 SD cards worth of video onto DVD. one down...i think 8+ DVDs to make. but he enjoys it and it also means that we can take more video of DJ and Bundy (both as a belly bub and earth side!) which will be good.

now i better go cook our dinner and finish cleaning DJ's room up - i was only ment to come onto the computer to load some songs onto the USB stick to listen to some 'nice' music while i did it LOL!
